Jobs lost as event equipment hire company enters administration

Events Gear, an event equipment hire company in Lincolnshire, has entered administration after its efforts to secure fresh investment fell through.

Steven Wiseglass, a director at Inquesta Corporate Recovery & Insolvency, is now the administrator for the company, which operated from premises in Grantham.

Events Gear was established in 2001 and provided equipment, technicians, and production crews for various events.

All seven employees have been made redundant, and the business has ceased trading, with its assets and stock currently being sold through an online auction.

Wiseglass said: “I understand attempts by Events Gear to secure further investment to safeguard the business were sadly unsuccessful and, as a result, it could not continue operating. It’s sad to see redundancies at any time, but especially so close to Christmas.

“We have instructed JPS Chartered Surveyors to conduct an auction of all the equipment and stock and hopefully provide a good return to creditors.”
