Former KPMG partner on board at Leicester tax advisory firm

Simon Jonsson

Leicester-based tax advisory firm Syon Tax has appointed a former KPMG partner as a non-executive director.

Simon Jonsson, who left KPMG earlier this year after 30 years with the firm, will sit on the Syon Tax board.

The ten-strong Syon Tax team works across the UK, Middle East and East Asia. The practice, set up by Mohammed Alimahomed and Ammar Mussa, has tripled its fee income in the last three years and says it has “strong” pipelines of work.

Alimahomed told TheBusinessDesk.com: “As a leadership, we couldn’t be more excited to have Simon join our board. He brings a wealth of experience to our team and his arrival is a strategic milestone as we navigate the path of growth outlined in our ambitious three-year plan. His invaluable expertise aligns seamlessly with our vision, positioning Syon Tax for continued success.”

Jonsson added: “I am excited to be joining the board of Syon Tax at this important time in the development of the business. Syon Tax is a dynamic and fast growing business built on quality and excellent client service. I am looking forward to contributing to its future success.”
