Nottinghamshire venue reopens after multimillion-pound refurbishment

Center Parcs Conferences & Events has officially reopened its doors for corporate bookings at Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire, following a £4.5m renovation.

This week, several brands are set to host their corporate retreats at The Venue, with a leading eyewear brand being the inaugural group to experience the revamped space on January 23.

As part of the multimillion-pound refurbishment, The Venue now features an extension, introducing four new meeting spaces tailored for smaller groups and increasing the overall event capacity to accommodate up to 550 delegates.

The enhancements also include a fresh entrance and reception area with a picturesque view of the lake, along with two outdoor terraces.

Julia Green,  head of corporate events at Center Parcs Conferences & Events, said: “I can’t think of a better start to 2024 than to be reawakening Sherwood Forest and see the venue spring back to life after nine months of hibernation.

With Sherwood being our first UK village to open in 1987, we were keen to ensure that this upgrade respected the heritage of the venue, while still giving it a substantial ‘facelift’ to match the recent refurbishment of our venue in Woburn Forest – which we renovated back in September 2022. We couldn’t be happier with how the venue is looking and are eager to welcome new and returning clients over the coming months.”
