On the move: the latest East Midlands hires
Wilkin Chapman has appointed Gaius Powell as its first marketing and business development (BD) director.
Powell, who has more than 30 years’ experience in senior marketing roles in the professional services sector, joins the team of seven marketing and BD specialists based at the firm’s Grimsby office.
He said: “Wilkin Chapman is at a fascinating point in its history. It is very much on a growth trajectory, expanding its range of services through increased depth and the growing strength of its teams across Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire. I am very much looking forward to working with the marketing team as well as fellow directors and the partners generally on contributing to this growth through a marketing and BD programme that demonstrates the firm’s ability to help a range of clients.”

Samantha Damon
Chesterfield-based Atlantic Pumps has appointed Samantha Damon as senior marketing manager.
She brings with her over 25 years’ experience across various industry sectors.
Damon was previously with financial services company PIB Group for over five years, holding the role of marketing manager for both the PIB Risk Management and Retail Specialty divisions.
Atlantic Pumps managing director, Andy Smith, said: “We are pleased to have Sam join the team, with a focus on communicating with our customers better and ensuring we clearly articulate the value we bring, especially to markets we haven’t served before.”
