On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Stephen Cleveley and Jon Clowes

Housebuilder Persimmon Homes has strengthened its customer care operations.

Jon Clowes, who joins the company as regional head of customer care, will be responsible for providing overall leadership to Persimmon’s customer care teams operating across the Central region and Wales, ensuring service is provided within company guidelines to maximise customer satisfaction and maintain a positive company reputation.

Clowes joins the company from Barclays where as a customer care director he held responsibility for customer relations across the bank’s local branch teams.

He said: “I am excited to be joining Persimmon Homes at an exciting time for the company and look forward to supporting the delivery of excellent customer service to our residents.”

Stephen Cleveley, regional chairman at Persimmon Homes in the Central region and Wales added: “I am delighted Jon is joining us at a time when real focus is on providing excellent standards of customer service. He will support our customer care teams to ensure our customers are supported throughout their house purchase to ensure they receive a first class service.”

PKF Smith Cooper Systems, the Sage Business Partner based in Derby, has revealed five new starters.

Garry Wallace, Claire Forrow, Jordan Hunter, Jessica Allen and Thomas Spring have joined the company to work across various departments, including support, consultancy, accounts and marketing.

Managing director, Chris Smith, said: “This quarter has been a very busy one for us with five new starters joining and three more pending, the majority of which are simply additions to our team as we continue to enjoy significant growth in all areas.

“Whilst we are never going to apologise for our ambition, retaining our company ethos and culture is non negotiable, so it’s great that we have been able to secure so many quality individuals to help us do just that.

“As we move into our new fiscal year, we have again achieved over 20% growth in all areas of our business, so we have deliberately set out our recruitment strategy to ensure we hit the floor running to achieve the same, or better, this year.”
