Occupancy secured for an additional five units at Leicester business park

New property deals have been completed at Genesis Park in South Wigston, near Leicester, with tenants found for an additional five units

Genesis Park, an urban logistics scheme spanning 128,180 sq ft, was developed and is owned by Chancerygate.

It consists of 15 units ranging from 4,800 sq ft to 18,570 sq ft, with a total gross development value exceeding £23m.

The first transaction included the leasing of a 6,000 sq ft unit to Deenova, a provider of healthcare automation solutions and services.

Deenova specialises in combined robotic and automation solutions for closed-loop medications and medical device traceability in the healthcare sector.

Under a 15-year lease, Deenova has secured the unit at Genesis Park, with its other UK office situated in East Sussex and additional offices in Italy, Spain, France, and Malta.

Additionally, another unit has been sold to Sandpiper Formulations Limited Pension Scheme, while Unit 5, leased to Fresenius Medical Care, has been acquired by Key West Holdings Limited.

Two more units have been sold to owner occupiers at Genesis Park: Unit 1, spanning 9,000 sq ft, to Personal Homecare Pharmacy and Unit 15, measuring 10,000 sq ft, to F2 Medical Pension Scheme.

With five units already sold, Unit 11, spanning 6,750 sq ft, is currently under offer for a freehold basis.

Nine units remain available at Genesis Park, ranging from 4,800 sq ft to 9,875 sq ft, offered on either a freehold or leasehold basis.

Chancerygate’s senior development director, Matthew Connor, said: “We’re very pleased to have completed these recent deals at Genesis Park, showcasing our expertise in working with prospective occupiers on both a freehold and leasehold basis.

“We have experienced a sustained high level of interest in the development and there is strong interest from occupiers in the medical sector given the scheme’s close proximity to Leicester Hospital. We encourage any parties interested in taking space at the scheme to get in touch for more information.”
