‘Exciting times’ for Warhammer owner as profits pass £200m
Warhammer owner Games Workshop has increased profits to more than £200m as it continues its remarkable growth.
Kevin Rountree, chief executive of Games Workshop, said it was “exciting times” for the business.
The manufacturer of miniature wargames has doubled its revenues in the past five years. It has increased sales in the last year by 12% to £526m with pre-tax profits growing 19% to £203m.
The FTSE-250 company employs around 2,700 people and has three factories in Nottingham.
Rountree said: “After a record year, we will continue to focus on the things in our control. We have a very clear strategy, which remains unchanged, a detailed operational plan for the year ahead and a great team to deliver it.”
Games Workshop’s share price is trading close to its lockdown highs. Last night’s closing price of 10,245p gives it a market value of £3.4bn.
