Journeo’s Danish subsidiary wins contract with major transport operator

Journeo, the Ashby-based information systems provider for transport operators, has announced that its Danish subsidiary, Journeo AS, has been awarded a contract with Denmark’s largest private public transport operator, Umove.
It comes after Umove secured a public transport contract from Trafikselskabet Movia, the agency responsible for managing buses and local trains across Zealand.
Under the 6-year contract, which may extend to 2039, Journeo will equip 58 buses with systems like fleet management software, real-time signage, and passenger infotainment.
Engineering work worth £500,000 will be completed before the buses enter service in October 2025, with additional software revenues expected to bring in £400,000 over the initial term.
Russ Singleton, chief executive of Journeo said: “I am delighted that Umove has selected our technology, software and services for the 58 electric buses that will operate in Ringsted, Kastrup and the Greater Copenhagen area. This award builds on the existing relationship with Umove where our Danish team already provide similar services on over 430 Umove buses”.
