Engineering firm alerts administrators

A Nottinghamshire engineering firm is facing an uncertain future, TheBusinessDesk.com understands.

Dale (Mansfield), which started out providing products for the deep mining industry in the 1970s and diversified into manufacturing hydraulic cylinders, has posted a notice of intention to appoint administrators (NOI) – a move which will protect it from creditor action for around 10 days.

The NOI has been posted via law firm Irwin Mitchell.

Dale operates from a 50,000 sq ft factory in New Houghton, near Mansfield.

According to its latest available accounts, made up to the end of 2023, Dale employed 39 people.

The firm had total assets less current liabilities of just over £413,000.
