Mortlock steps down at Roythornes as CEO takes over

Vember Mortlock, the highly-respected managing partner of law firm Roythornes, is to step down.
Mortlock, who has been with Roythornes since 1999, will be replaced by Adam White, who joins the firm as CEO. White has spent the last 16 years at Barclays, latterly as head of agriculture and landed estates.
Posting on LinkedIn, Mortlock said: “When I first joined Roythornes in 1999, it soon became clear to me that Roythornes was an excellent business with huge potential. I genuinely never had any aspiration to become managing partner, but in an environment where the opportunities for improvement are endless and you have the support to just crack on and get things done, it just ended up that way.
“It has been an amazing journey, with plenty of challenges and curveballs, and it has been great to lead such a talented group of people and work with such an interesting and engaged client base. I can truly say that there has never been a dull moment. The business has come a long way over my tenure, but there is still so much more opportunity out there.”
Mortlock says she will now take some time out before the next phase in her life and career.
