Freeths pads up for legal innings with Leicestershire County Cricket Club

Leicestershire County Cricket Club (LCCC) has brought on board Nottingham-based law firm Freeths as its official legal partner starting from the 2025/26 season.
As part of the new partnership, Freeths will provide legal support across all areas of the club’s operations.
The firm, which has 13 offices nationwide and holds B Corporation status, will also get involved in LCCC’s business outreach, supporting events, marketing and hospitality efforts throughout the year.
Caroline Smith, a real estate partner at Freeths, will lead the relationship with the club, working alongside corporate partner Martin Smith and a wider team of legal specialists.
She said: “Being Leicester born and bred and coming from a family of avid cricket lovers, I’m excited about this new partnership and how we can support and work with the club to help achieve its ambitions. It demonstrates our commitment to Leicester and the local business community.”
John Williams, commercial director at LCCC said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Freeths to the Foxes family. The firm’s reputation for excellence and community focus aligns perfectly with our values, and we’re excited to work together on several key initiatives throughout the season.”
