Hortons unveils 270,000 sq ft vision for Derby commercial park

Horton’s has put forward a planning application to redevelop Sinfin Commercial Park in Derby, aiming to create around 270,000 sq ft of new industrial and logistics space.
The proposal includes 17 new units ranging from 5,000 to 70,000 sq ft on a 23-acre site close to the Rolls-Royce Sinfin campus.
Designed with sustainability in mind, the scheme is targeting an EPC A+ rating and will feature EV charging points, solar panels and landscaped green spaces.
Demolition of a vacant 207,000 sq ft warehouse on the site is already underway, following Horton’s purchase of the building last year.
The company had previously acquired 21 occupied units next door, along with eight acres of development and open storage land nearby.
James Slater, head of development at Hortons said: “Sinfin Commercial Park presents a rare opportunity to transform a strategically located site into a modern, sustainable industrial/logistics hub. Our investment reflects Horton’s confidence in the logistics market and our commitment to delivering best-in-class facilities that meet occupier demands. This project is part of a wider strategic development programme of larger multi-let shed schemes across the Midlands area.”
