Tossed to take bite out of Nottingham in first move outside of London

Healthy-eating chain Tossed, which has 13 outlets in London, is set to open its first venue outside of the capital in Nottingham.
The company has partnered with its first franchisee as part of a plan to open 50 stores nationwide
The company has signed a deal with Goldbean, led by Badar Zaman, a hospitality operator with 20 years multi-site franchise experience with Costa Coffee, according to trade hospitality title Propel.
The first site under the new agreement will open in an unspecified location in central Nottingham this summer.
Neil Sebba, managing director of Tossed, said: “We are delighted to sign Badar as our first franchisee. We feel he is the perfect fit for us – his regional knowledge, experience and enthusiasm will be invaluable to ensuring Tossed’s success as a platform for his further expansion.
“We received extremely positive local feedback from the public in Nottingham, and we’re excited to be opening our first store there. This promises to be the first of many – we are targeting 50 franchise stores to be opened over the next four years, and Badar is an ideal partner with a great first location.”
Zaman, who currently operates ten Costa Coffee stores, said: “Nottingham is a vibrant, growing city with a booming student population and a strong foodie culture. Tossed’s focus on fresh, nutritious food and bold, modern branding really aligns with my own lifestyle and will be perfect fit for this location. My family and I are seeking to build something together here that we can be proud of and Tossed is exactly that. We believe it has huge potential for growth. We’re excited to open our first store, and have plans for several more.
