TIS set to create 20 jobs after record year
Mansfield-based fire, security and communications specialists TIS has recorded the best year in its 65-year history, with sales revenues and profits at an all-time high.
The company, which employs 140 staff at its headquarters on Oakham Business Park, generated revenues of £13.186m in the period to 31 December 2015 an increase of 22% on the previous year. Profit before tax also increased by a massive 58%.
Over the past 12 months, TIS has appointed 20 new members of staff across all levels of the business and has recruited eight apprentices. A further 20 new jobs are set to be created over the coming months, which will enable the company to cope with the increased demand from its broad client base, which ranges from industry to The Ministry of Defence (MoD) and local authorities.
The company says it has set itself the target of achieving sales in excess of £20m by 2018. More job opportunities are set to be created for local people as the company gears up for the next stage of growth.
It is currently investing £300,000 in a new ERP system, which brings together the separate elements of the business processes designed to help improve the clients experience.
