Latin Party Night
Date: 8pm – 1am Saturday 28th May
Location: South Holland Centre, Lincolnshire
Get in touch with your inner Latino and dance the night away at Lincolnshire’s Salsa Latin Party Night.
At 8pm a dance professional will show you all the moves and later in the evening you can watch Leandro Charanga from Havana and his special guests perform a Latin show.

Ashby Arts Festival

This year’s annual arts festival will feature local artists, musicians, song writers, poets, performers and story tellers. The festival links amateurs and professionals, the commercial and the public sectors together through public displays of drama performances, street theatre, music, poetry, workshops, arts and photography competition.

Derby’s German Bierfest
Date: Thursday 26th May – Sunday 29th May
Location: Market place, Derby
Over four days experience derby’s own German beer festival with wooden huts selling everything from Bratwurst to authentic German Products. Enjoy a glass of German sparkling wine or a stein of handmade German beer this Bank holiday at Market Place Derby.
You don’t have to leave the kids at home either as the festival will host traditional German activities for children too.

Crick Boat Show

The 2016 Crick Boat Show, Britain’s biggest inland waterways festival is to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of James Brindley, popularly honoured as Britain’s first great canal builder, and for the first time ever all children can visit any show day for free.
The Crick Boat show offers a fantastic day out for all the family with dozens of boats to look round, boat handling sessions, free boat trips, live music, children’s activities, a real ale marquee and a large variety of food and drink stalls.

Africa Day Celebrations

Visit the ghost capital of Britain

Location: Derby Gaol, 50 Friargate, Derby
If you fancy something a bit different this weekend, why not go for a ghost walk or a paranormal investigation in the UK’s ghost capital. Derby Gaol is a working museum reportedly haunted by the ghosts of those executed in the dungeons. Overnight vigils are also available if you’re particularly brave!
