Social scene: Ladies in Nottingham Connect launch

Businesswomen in Nottinghamshire attended the first ever networking group led by employment lawyers at Cleggs Solicitors recently.

Around 40 professionals from the city and surrounding areas met at Cleggs Solicitors offices in Wilford for the first event in May. The new group will be called Ladies in Nottingham Connect (LINC) and meet bi monthly.

Jayne Harrison, partner at the firm, said: “It was a great turnout for the first ever Ladies in Nottingham Connect and the feedback we got from female professionals was that there was a clear need for a group of this kind in the city.

“This is an opportunity to network informally with businesswomen, the aim was to take the hard sell out of networking and encourage Nottingham’s top female professionals to get involved at the outset to develop and grow this new networking group.

“We feel that our first event achieved this and it was great to meet so many of the professionals from the city and beyond. Thank you to all who came and we hope to see you next time!”
