Software firm OrderWise has unveiled plans to expand its premises in Saxilby, creating 90 new jobs and an advanced warehouse training facility.

The new building at Newton Court, on Saxilby Enterprise Park on Skellingthorpe Road, will link to the firm’s existing premises on the ground floor, expanding the site by 14,000 sq ft. It is being built and overseen by local firm Kuno Jackson Builders , and will be completed by January next year.

“This expansion has come just after our 25th anniversary as a company,” said OrderWise managing director David Hallam. “Our team is growing fast and we’re very excited to see the building work start.”

Since moving to the premises in 2010, Orderwise employee numbers have grown from 33 to more than 110 today.

Hallam said: “Once we have the new building ready, there will be around 90 new jobs to reflect our progress. The bottom floor will house our sales team and after-sales care team, the latter of which act as account managers to existing customers. The top floor will then be for our ever-expanding team of support staff.”

The new building will also include a two-floor simulation warehouse designed not only to train new staff and improve existing OrderWise software.

Hallam added: “This is a feature you won’t see anywhere else and is all about improving the capabilities of our software. It will also allow us to demonstrate key features to show their applicable uses in a live warehouse environment. It really underlines how seriously we take our products and services.”

OrderWise has also bought the land currently occupied by Saxilby firm Caratech.
