Mystery plays
Date: Wednesday 3rd – 13th August
Location: Lincoln cathedral, Lincoln

Originating in the 10th century, the Mystery plays have become a significant part of the religious and communal culture of Lincolnshire. The engaging, illuminating traditional medieval performances tell the ‘greatest story ever told’ from Creation to Doomsday.

Robin Hood Festival
Date: Monday 1st – Sunday 7th August
Location: Sherwood Forest Country Park, Nottingham

The Robin Hood Festival returns this week with the usual jousting tournaments, story tellers, comedy acts and of course, Robin Hood and the Sheriff of Nottingham as they clash once again. The event itself is free and with costumed characters, medieval stalls, falconry displays and a children’s outdoor theatre, there’s plenty of entertainment for the family.

USCUSC
Date: Friday 5th – Sunday 7th August
Location: Santa Pod Raceway, Poddington, Wellingborough

This weekend the largest, loudest, fastest modified car festival in Europe returns to Santa Pod Raceway with drag racing, music, club camping, drifting, stunt displays, jet cars and much more. Day tickets will be sold on the gate until 4pm.

Sister Act
Date: Saturday 30th July – Saturday 13th August
Location: The Curve, Leicester

An all new production of the Broadway and West End smash hit musical comedy, Sister Act, returns to the UK. The musical is a must see this month with choreography from Strictly Come Dancing judge, Craig Revel Horwood and X-factor winner Alexandra Burke as Deloris Van Cartier.

Get your adrenaline going this weekend at the Market Place fun fair with the New Speed XXL ride and the hugely popular Tango Ride. The fair will be open from 12pm each day and ends this Sunday.
