Optimo Care Group to create 300 jobs in Leicestershire

A provider of homecare services across the North West and Yorkshire is set to expand into the East Midlands by creating 300 jobs in Leicestershire.
Optimo Care Group, through its TLC Homecare service, has won a five-year contract with Leicestershire County Council to provide person-centred care across the Groby, Market Bosworth, Hinckley, Twycross, Mountsorrell and Quorn areas.
Richard Walker, chief executive of Optimo Care Group, said: “We are thrilled to continue our growth by expanding into the Leicestershire area of the East Midlands, through our TLC Homecare service based in South Yorkshire, especially as this year is our 20th anniversary.
“We already employ around 700 care workers across the north of England throughout the north-west and Yorkshire on great terms and conditions, and critically with full travel time paid too. The opportunity to now increase our team to over 1,000 is equally thrilling.”
Optimo Care Group was co-founded in 2010 by Richard Walker and TheBusinessDesk.com executive chairman Mark Hales who bought WarrenCare and TLC Homecare with the intention of creating a high quality, progressive and well-reputed family of care services across the North of England.
Optimo’s contract with Leicestershire County Council will start in November.
Mr Walker added: “We want to work with progressive commissioners and despite the well publicised issues around funding for social care, we think this contract will deliver great outcomes for the people we will be proud to support.”
