45 jobs axed at stricken Pera Consulting

Pera Consulting has been brought down by the loss of the Business Growth Service contract, it has been revealed.

Yesterday, TheBusinessDesk.com exclusively broke the story that Pera Consulting had gone into administration. Today we can reveal that all 45 jobs have been lost at the firm, based in Melton Mowbray.

Pera Consulting works with governments and their agencies to deliver publically-funded business support programmes to SMEs.

A statement from administrators Alix Partners read: “Administrators were appointed over the company following a difficult trading period and increasing cash pressures triggered by the loss of a major government contract during November 2015.

“Despite management’s efforts to lead a turnaround of the business, including exploring a potential sale of the business, the future funding requirement was too great to see the company through this difficult period.

“Regrettably, all employees have been made redundant with immediate effect. The administrators have commenced a structured wind down of the business and its operations.”
