Digital marketing seminars for businesses coming to Leicester Racecourse

Two new digital marketing seminars are taking place at Leicester Racecourse in Oadby in May and June.  The events are being run by Harborough-based marketing agency and Chamber member The Ideal Marketing Company.

The first seminar, which explains how to use Google Analytics to measure marketing results is led by Jess Shailes, head of digital marketing at Ideal. This will be followed by an event in June which will explain how businesses can use search engine optimisation (SEO) more effectively.

‘How to measure digital marketing success with Google Analytics’ will take place on Wednesday 23rd May from 8am – 11.30am. Aimed at business managers and marketing professionals, delegates will learn how to identify business goals, KPIs and targets to report against for marketing activities as well as how to optimise Google Analytics, monitor search engine performance and highlight key takeaways from reports.

“It’s surprisingly simple to make tweaks that give marketers powerful insights into their digital marketing performance by applying free, widely-used tools,” explains Jess. “However, we rarely find these optimisations have been carried out and instead marketers can be swamped with data that they are unsure how to use.”

Jess also spoke at the Leeds Digital Festival in April. She has over ten years’ experience in digital marketing and her participation in Google’s Squared Online Digital Marketing programme resulted in her being named as an inspirational leader by programme leaders. Jess was also named one of the top 5 most connected women in marketing by LinkedIn UK as part of International Women’s Day.

The SEO toolkit seminar on Wednesday 6th June (8am – 11.30am) will be run by both Jess and Ideal’s Head of SEO & Digital Content, Hannah Wellings and will focus on making the most of SEO.

“Making your website easy to find for the products or services you offer is integral to any successful marketing strategy,” says Hannah. “If you can’t be found online, the chances of your business surviving are usually pretty low.  Our SEO toolkit seminar explains the basics and not-so-basics of SEO in ways that are easy to understand and to apply, to enhance your online presence.”

The SEO toolkit seminar will include insights into how a website can function more effectively, including advice on getting recommendations through reviews, credibility-building via links, updating the ‘shopfront’ for search engines and measuring SEO success.

Hannah has a qualification from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. She has also worked in a range of general marketing roles before specialising in content and SEO strategy.

Each seminar costs £60 plus VAT per person and can be purchased on Eventbrite at https://bit.ly/2Hpmh5v.  Visit www.idealmarketingcompany.com for more information.
