Vaplas Continues to Invest with State of the Art Inspection Equipment
Vaplas, established in 1993 based in Normanton, West Yorkshire, is a leading UK manufacturer of high quality CNC machined plastic and aluminium parts, they also manufacture machine guards and fabricated tanks for various industries. Vaplas work with many industries including, aerospace, automotive, beverages, and pharmaceutical.
The Company continues to grow, having their best year yet in 2019 which is enabling them to increase their investment levels in the company. Having already spent circa £150,000 on two new DMG Mori Universal Turning Centres in May this year, their latest investment sees the Keyence Image Dimension Measurement System joining them in the Quality and Inspection Department.

Jason continues ‘This latest equipment is a game changer for us in the Inspection Department as it is capable of visually inspecting several small machined parts in seconds and creating the relevant reports.’
The new Keyence Image Dimension Measurement System will provide enhanced quality controls at Vaplas by using automatic data recording and delivering inspection reports with the touch of a button. The machine is able to measure up to 99 dimensions in seconds.
With such quick and accurate inspection times this piece of equipment is sure to increase Vaplas’s productivity and output whilst still ensuring the customer gets their perfect parts within the set tolerances.
