Start-up is brewing in Bolton

A HOME brewing kit business has opened its first shop in Bolton, eight months after it was first set up.

Subhash Kukudia, who has been brewing his own beer for 15 years, started his company, Spitting Feathers, on a stall at Bolton market last September.

Mr Kukudia said: “I knew I had tapped into a niche market and saw potential for expansion.  
  
“My customer base was wide ranging and in order to cater for all I decided to expand to a unit to enable me to stock the full range of brewing kits.

“I knew that home brewing kits would be a great product for marketing in today’s economic situation.”

Mr Kukudia added that he plans to hold free brewing classes in the future, and to set-up a Bolton Brewing Society.
