Giant recruiter looking to fill 150 of its own vacancies

Manchester-based Search Consultancy, one of the UK’s largest recruitment firms, is expanding its workforce, with 150 new roles announced.

This follows a successful management buyout and investment from H2 Equity Partners in May.

Announcing the deal earlier in the year, the business revealed its intention to build on its strong market position, deepening and expanding the range of services and specialisms it provides to its 3,300-plus client base.

Its ambitious growth plans focused on a combination of increasing the number of consultants, further improving the already wide UK coverage, and making selected bolt-on acquisitions.

The business is now realising that growth ambition, and as part of its own recruitment drive, is looking to fill vacancies from trainee to senior management across a variety of business areas.

Search – which currently employs 650 people – will also be bolstering employee numbers at its Glasgow, Crawley, Leeds, Manchester and Edinburgh.

Search established in Glasgow in 1987, now a nationwide company, works with businesses and candidates across its six vertical markets.

Debbie Caswell, chief executive, said: “We are entering an ambitious and exciting phase following the MBO earlier this year and we are now delivering upon our stated intention to accelerate our growth plans.

“A Sunday Times Best Company and Platinum Investors in People, we invest heavily in our employees, ensuring they have access to career-long learning and development, an award-winning training programme, employee benefits and an exceptional support network.

“We therefore look forward to bolstering our team at locations across the UK and growing our business further.”
