Pallet firm takes on Geo Scott site

PROPERTY developer St Modwen has secured a 68,315 sq ft letting at on the former Geo Scott & Co site at Cromwell Road in Ellesmere Port.
The company has agreed a 15-year lease with wooden packaging and pallet supply company Northern Case Supplies.
St. Modwen acquired the site in 2008 and has since been working with the local authority to bring forward a mixed-use development for the remaining 18 acres.
St. Modwen regional director, Michelle Taylor said: “To secure a letting to a well-established company is great news for this site as it provides vitally important jobs in the town.
“We are exploring options for different uses on the balance of the site with Cheshire West Council and are keen to increase our investment in this key site.”
Northern Case supplies will manufacture, store and recondition pallet cases on the site, which is on a busy approach to Ellesmere Port’s town centre.
Its managing director, Greg Milton, said: “We are delighted to have acquired this excellent site, thus enabling the continued expansion of our timber pallet manufacturing and export packing division.”
