NEIL Higgins has joined The Works Recruitment as director of operations.
Operating out of the firm’s office on Charlotte Street in Manchester, he will focus on business development and improving operational efficiency across The Works’ offices in Leeds, Manchester, Heckmondwike and Barnsley.
Mr Higgins worked previously with CDI-AndersElite UK as northern regional director. The Works has around 110,000 candidates on its books and supplies people in construction, engineering, commercial and industrial.

ANH Refractories has hired senior engineer Stefan Frank to drive export sales across Europe.
Mr Frank, who nhas 20 years’ experience in the sector, has joined the Wirral firm to bolster expertise in the cement sector and driving sales in emerging cement markets in countries including Turkey, Ukraine and Italy.
ANH Refractories Europe managing director Peter Rooney said: “The European cement market has been a solid area for sales in the last 12 months and we believe Stefan has the knowledge and skills to build on this.”

NICK Bradbury has joined HSBC in Cheshire & North Staffordshire as an international commercial manager.
In this new role, Mr Bradbury – who has moved from the bank’s Birmingham operation – will focus on supporting international businesses with a turnover between £2m and £10m.
