Contract wins to push Preferred Spaces towards £10m

INDEPENDENT North West property services group Preferred Spaces is expecting another successful year on the back of a clutch of contract wins worth around £2.5m.
The Sale company saw its 2013 revenues leap 60% to £7m and believes hitting £10m could be on the cards this year.
The latest wins include a 20,000 sq ft refurbishment for United Utilities at Lingley Mere, Warrington. Following a competitive tender Preferred will carry out an extensive overhaul of the building, including bathrooms, kitchens and a fully functioning gymnasium.
It has also won a 17,000 sq ft project for SRG Apparel at Park 17, Whitefield, which will include full fit out of offices and showrooms to display garments and other products.
Finally, the company will supply loose furniture to Think Money’s new Trafford Park HQ. This comprises more than 100 pieces of furniture for the reception, break-out areas, kitchens, meeting rooms and boardroom.
Managing director Jeremey Plastow said: “These new project wins are testament to the professionalism of our people and the strong relationships we have with our clients through our excellent track record and reputation in the commercial and retail market place”.
“Revenues for 2013 were up 60% on the previous year and the profits are likely to be ahead of our expectations, 2014 looks like being another positive year with revenues exceeding £10m.”
The company, which employs 16 people, is recruiting for four more staff, with Mr Plastow seeking a senior designer, project manager, estimator and health and safety manager.
