First phase of Royal Liver refurb complete

NORTH West architecture firm Acies has completed the phase one refurbishment of the Royal Liver Building in Liverpool.
The first phase of the project, costing £970,000, involved refurbishing the main west entrance and reception area of the Grade I listed building, including a new glazed entrance.
Roy Alexander, director of architecture at Acies, which has offices in Chester and Manchester, said: “The first phase designs have been closely developed with the local conservation department and English Heritage, ensuring a sensitive approach with meticulous attention to detail.
“The result is a quality and sophisticated response which befits the prestige and stature of the building.”
