Bardsley wins Liverpool jobs worth £7.3m

DEVELOPER Bardsley Construction has secured two new Merseyside contracts worth £7.3m.

The £70m turnover business based in Tameside, Manchester, is building the Belvidere Hostel, a supported family centre for Liverpool Mutual Homes, and a hostel for Liverpool Housing Trust.

Belvidere Hostel, a four-storey building in Dingle with 16 self-contained units and an administration area, has a contract value of £3.4m. Work started on site in January 2011 and is due for completion in April 2012.

The other hostel at Field Lane, Liverpool, has 42 flats and a contract value of £3.8m. Work on this project, which involves the demolition of an existing hostel, also started in January and is due for completion in January 2012.
