St Modwen launches new Widnes business park

WIDNES Regeneration, a joint venture between St Modwen Properties and Halton Borough Council, is bringing a 12-acre development site in Widnes to market.

Harrier Business Park, on Gorsey Lane next to Heron Business Park, has units ranging in size from 20,000 sq ft to 80,000 sq ft.

It is being marketed as a relocation site for businesses affected by the construction of the Mersey Gateway crossing, a proposed six-lane toll bridge connecting Widnes and Runcorn.

Richard Bakes, development manager at St Modwen, said: “After the success of the adjacent Heron Business Park, Harrier was the natural progression to enhance our business offering at Widnes Waterfront and demonstrates our confidence in the marketplace here.

“Heron has been an extremely popular choice for the region’s businesses. The first phase is already fully occupied and within phase two, over 60% of the units are now occupied. The remaining units range from 2,129 sq ft to 9,507 sq ft.

“Harrier Business Park will offer tenants the same combination of high-quality accommodation and strategic location, and we are confident it will not be long before interested parties start to come forward”.

Dixon Webb and GVA Grimley are joint agents for the scheme.
