DWF on call in £10.7m office sale

LAW firm DWF has advised on the £10.7m sale of a major office development in Stoke-on-Trent.
The firm’s Manchester-based real estate team advised an un-named investor on the purchase of the 80,000 sq ft office in the Etruria Valley Business Park, which nearing completion.
Mobile phone giant Vodafone has signed a 16-year lease on the office, where it will consolidate its four existing sites in the area.
The 850-seat call centre is being developed by Stoke-on-Trent Regeneration, a joint venture between property company St Modwen and the local council.
Etruria Valley Business Park is the site of the former Shelton steelworks and is an extension of St Modwen’s Festival Park scheme.
The DWF team was led by real estate partner Andy Green and included Jo Hannah and Roger Allsup, all from the Manchester office. Andy Green said: “This is a landmark building which will set a new standard for call centres in the UK.
“With Vodafone having committed to the building for a 16-year period, the property is an attractive long-term investment.”
Commercial property agents Knight Frank acted on behalf of the investor, while Colliers CRE advised St Modwen.
