Brabners employment team win Chambers role

LAW firm Brabners Chaffe Street has been appointed by the British Chambers of Commerce to provide consultancy on key employment law issues.

The appointment will also see the Liverpool, Manchester and Preston-based firm’s employment partners, Paul Chamberlain and Simon Whitehead, help the business lobbying organisation answer questions on the Equality Bill at a seminar at the House of Lords in November.

The firm was appointed by the BCC due to its long-term expertise and experience in acting for business networks.

Brabners has worked with The Employment Agents’ Movement (TEAM), one of the largest independent networked groups of recruitment and employment service providers in the UK for the past decade.

Paul Chamberlain, partner and employment specialist, who will head the Brabners team is a nationally recognised expert in recruitment legislation, most recently providing legal guidance to the Recruitment and Employment Confederation’s  Commission in respect of the EU Agency Workers’ Directive.

Mr Chamberlain said: “The BCC is the ultimate business network – each Chamber sits at the very heart of the local business community, so its advice and guidance is highly respected.

“We’re honoured to be working at such a high level with the organisation.”
