New home for hydraulic hose firm
AN expanding North West industrial firm is moving from Trafford Park in Manchester to Oldham Central Trading Park.
Able Hydraulics, which specialises in hydraulic, pneumatic and industrial hose products, has signed a five-year lease for 8,044 sq ft of space at the location.
The company, which was founded in 1981, has invested £75,000 into the expansion, and has created two new jobs taking its total headcount to 18.
Sam Robinson of Able Hydraulics said: “Despite the current economical climate, we are confident that we can still grow and build on our excellent reputation for service, quality and technical expertise.
“This location in Oldham is ideal and provides us with the perfect platform to expand and attract new business”.
Property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton, acting on behalf of landlord, Henderson Global Investors, advised on the deal.
John Sullivan, industrial and logistics agent at LSH’s Manchester office, said he was not surprised that companies were taking up the opportunities offered at Oldham Central.
“The development offers flexible, modern accommodation and benefits from excellent transport links,” he said.
“More than three-quarters of the estate is now occupied, which is an amazing achievement given the state of the economy and demonstrates that there are still deals being done providing the product is right.”
Joint agent on the scheme alongside LSH is Nolan Redshaw.
