Berkeley PR becomes Ascent

PR AGENCY Berkeley PR has moved to offices in Manchester city centre.

The agency, which also has offices in Reading and Bristol, has rebranded as Ascent PR and relocated a five-strong team from Derbyshire to new offices on Deansgate in Manchester.

The agency, which counts The Hut and Just Search among its clients, has repositioned itself as a “the entrepreneur’s PR company” for “growing” and “ambitious” businesses.

Sara Lewis, director of Ascent PR, said: “Although some agencies have suffered during the economic downturn, our proactive and pragmatic approach has generated an outstanding return on investment which we believe is akin to entrepreneurial businesses in the region.

“We have a highly creative, experienced and motivated team and I am excited about the opportunities ahead.”

The company is part of the Berkeley Communications Group. While Manchester, Reading and Bristol will trade under the Ascent PR brand, a Thames Valley unit will continue to trade under the Berkeley PR name.
