Gift vouchers boost Northcote sales by £90k

REGIONAL restaurant and hotel group Northcote says the introduction of gift vouchers has increase sales by £90,000 over the last year.

Northcote, which includes the Ribble Valley Inns chain of gastro pubs, launched its gift voucher package – available online or direct from Northcote Manor – across the group last winter.

The majority of vouchers are purchased through the website, which automatically creates a personalised gift pack for customers to pass on as a gift.

Kaye Mathew, sales and marketing director at Northcote, said: “Our websites have generated a huge amount of revenue for all brands under the Northcote umbrella and have proven instrumental in giving the Northcote brand the recognition it deserves.”

She added: “Our gift voucher service has proven extremely popular; in just seven easy steps visitors can create a personal gift delivered straight to the recipient’s door.

“We’ve found that guests have been delighted with their gift, particularly since they have the freedom to choose their restaurant and dates, making it an ideal gift for any occasion.”

Two types of vouchers are available: Northcote Vouchers and The Ribble Valley Inns dining experience which can be used at The Three Fishes, Highwayman Inn, The Clog and Billycock and Yorkshire’s The Bull at Broughton.

The project is the result of a collaboration between Northcote and Blackburn-based web design company eBusiness UK.

Kam Kothia, managing director of eBusiness UK, oversaw the project, with his team constructing the website.

He said: “The brief set by Northcote was to create a dynamic, easy to use system to bolster their business development.”
