UU moves into new shared service centre

UNITED Utilities has moved in to Grasmere House, its flagship building in Warrington.
The 46,862 sq ft shared service centre, on Lingley Mere Business Park, sits in 100 acres of parkland and UU has relocated a number of its operational and support functions to the purpose built structure.
Paul Foode, Lingley Mere estate manager, said: “We have completed the migration of some 590 staff from various locations across the region into a modern, high spec, energy efficient, purpose built office.”
The building, which completed in March, has a British Environmental standard (BREEAM) rating of ‘very good’. It was managed by construction company Acies.
Jeremy Powell, partner at Acies, said: “The new development provides high specification office accommodation and with sustainability at the heart of the build it’s a huge achievement for all involved to be recognised for a BREEAM rating.”
Lingley Mere Business Park Development Company, which is located off junction 8 of the M62, is a joint venture between United Utilities and Muse Developments.
