Allied Irish Bank (GB) announces new regional head

Jonny Beckwith

Jonny Beckwith has been appointed Allied Irish Bank (GB) business centre leader for Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire and North Wales.

He will lead his team from the bank’s Liverpool office in St Paul’s Square.

Mr Beckwith has 20 years’ banking experience and knowledge gained working with commercial and corporate clients across a variety of industry sectors.

He previously worked at Lloyds Banking Group, most recently as a relationship director, and has also worked at the Bank of Scotland.

His new role oversees a team of relationship and business development managers covering the area.

He will report to regional director Tony Kelly.
Mr Beckwith said: “I am passionate about working with great people and their businesses, supporting growth ambitions and adding value.

“By working together we can tailor the right financial package and I am excited to provide support to customers who can access the bank’s sector funding schemes launched earlier this year.”

Four £500m funds are available for businesses in the key economic growth sectors of manufacturing, healthcare, hotels & hospitality and professional practices to assist future growth plans.

Mr Beckwith said: “By providing access to this funding we can encourage businesses to invest and prosper and in turn contribute to economic growth across the region.”

Tony Kelly added: “Jonny is a very experienced banker and we are delighted to welcome him to the team to share his knowledge and expertise with our customers and staff.

“The Liverpool team has a strong track record of success and pipeline of deal activity and Jonny’s addition to lead the team is sure to enhance this further.”
