Software developer Livepoint has announced ambitious expansion plans after opening a new office in Cain’s Brewery Works, Liverpool.

The tech firm is the latest arrival to the three-storey development, designed to build on the Baltic Triangle’s burgeoning creative and digital industry scene.

Livepoint managing director Adam Sykes said the move into the co-working and private office space will broaden the company’s presence across the North West region, working in conjunction with its existing site in Hoylake, Wirral.

The fast-growing firm – which is well known for its SwiftCase software – is also generating employment opportunities in the city with two new openings for software developers, adding to the eight-strong team.

“It’s tremendously exciting to be joining this new wave of creative energy at Cain’s Brewery Works,” said Adam.

“Cain’s is an iconic symbol of Liverpool’s industrial heritage and its reinvention into a bustling commercial hub for business has been an enormous success.

“Our expansion into Liverpool brings many benefits, including the opportunity to collaborate with other businesses, better engage with the city region and raise brand awareness and profile.

“The Baltic Triangle is a hotbed for creativity and the perfect place for a dynamic and ambitious business like Livepoint to set out its stall.”

He added: “While we have had success developing our brand across the North West region from our Wirral site, this move will enlarge our commercial footprint.

“We are now looking to expand our presence across Liverpool and the wider metropolitan area with much greater impact. It will also provide a platform to build on our success in other neighbouring cities, including Manchester and Chester.”

Livepoint co-owner, Nik Ellis, said there is immense potential to drive sales through the company’s core product, Swiftcase, which focuses on automating the mundane, day-to-day tasks that burden the vast majority of businesses, saving firms valuable time.

“At Livepoint our mission is to harness the power of technology to simplify, automate and synchronise business processes,” he said.

“We believe technology should be hassle-free and efficient. Our software solutions can revolutionise any business which manages large amounts of data or information.

“We regard it as the ‘Swiss Army knife’ equivalent for workflow management, and it is the only one of its kind based in the UK.”

Swiftcase operates primarily through the use of highly configurable task workflows.

By allowing clients to tailor the software to their specific industry and business needs, be it task allocation, resource management or document generation, it reduces the number of costly mistakes such as missed deadlines and service-level agreements.

By providing clients with an intuitive interface, it is easy to view current workload and assess the health of the user’s business.
