Construction has started on Manchester-based LPC Living’s Birkdale Place residential development, located off Westcliffe Road in Birkdale.

The development will comprise 10 luxury four-bedroom homes, within close proximity to Birkdale village and the famous Royal Birkdale Golf Club.

Construction, by Merseyside-based Carroll Build, is expected to take 10 months, with the new homes ready for purchasers to move in to in spring/summer 2019.

Simon Ashdown, director at LPC Living, said: “We are excited to have broken ground with this boutique development of high specification homes, in such an attractive and vibrant village.

“It is rare to be able to deliver new homes so close to Birkdale village. The homes all offer spacious accommodation with contemporary interiors suited to modern family living”

Carroll Build, who is undertaking the construction, has a wealth of experience in constructing luxury new homes and has recently completed a luxury development of four 4,000 sq ft detached homes on Victoria Road, Formby.

Managing director of Carroll Build, Terry Carroll, said: “We are pleased to start the construction of this development, which we feel illustrates our strength in delivering bespoke luxury homes. We are proud to work with LPC Living to deliver these prestigious homes.”

The homes have been designed by Southport-based RAL Chartered Architects, who also acted as planning consultants for the development.

RAL designed the development as a contemporary interpretation of the Victorian villas of the surrounding Birkdale Park Conservation Area.

Ten elegant, traditionally inspired houses with the benefit of modern interiors, are arranged in a crescent around a private parking court.

With accommodation over three floors the houses benefit from elevated and expansive views across Victoria Park towards Southport beach, while being set in a secluded leafy location off Westcliffe Road.
