Smith and Sons, has announced details of its Autumn auction, showcasing 43 lots, the largest catalogue on offer for a decade.

Taking place at 2pm at the Village Hotel in Bromborough on September 19, the auction includes a range of houses for refurbishment, residential and commercial investments, building land and some properties ready for immediate occupation.

With the majority of the lots located in Merseyside, there are also properties for sale in North Wales and Cheshire.

Chris Johnson, auctioneer at Smith and Sons, said: “This is a particularly strong auction in terms of volume, diversity and quality of the lots available – there really is something for everyone.”

A number of investments produce yields in excess of 13% return.

Flats in Rake Lane, Wallasey close to Liscard town centre and Alexandra Road close to Birkenhead Park, offer high yielding investments and three modern houses in Harrowby Road are realistically priced and suitable either for owner occupation or investment.

A double-fronted five bedroomed house in Curzon Road, Prenton, offers huge potential to upgrade to a family home, and a former nursing home at Abbeyfield House, also in Prenton, offers substantial accommodation suitable for conversion for residential purposes or to continue as a care facility.

A fully-fitted and refurbished licensed premises in Oxton Village provides a restaurant with 60 covers.

Chris added: “All of the lots have been realistically priced to attract a good sale on the day. Interest levels have been strong from the outset and we’re anticipating an exciting and very busy auction day.”

Houses for refurbishment in Grove Road, Cecil Road and Orrets Meadow are excellent projects and there is a delightful former mill property, together with a detached house and office accommodation in Nannerch, within easy reach of Mold town centre.

A building plot in Higher Bebington has planning permission for a detached dormer bungalow and a shop in Ellesmere Port town centre has planning permission for a two bedroomed first floor flat with continued retail use to the ground floor.
