New event space at popular Liverpool nightspot

The proposed new level

Liverpool hotels and property company Signature Living is expanding its Alma De Cuba bar and restaurant to cater for weddings.

It is creating a new floor which will be home to a stunning wedding space so that brides and grooms can get married at the former church in the city’s Seel Street.

The new events space is scheduled to launch in December.

The site will be broadening its offering as it internally expands to create a new floor above the busy restaurant that will accommodate up to 300 people.

Alma De Cuba has released images of how the new impressive 4,000 sqft wedding and events space will look.

The venue, which is located inside the magnificent former St Peter’s Church – the oldest Roman Catholic church in Liverpool – will remain open during the expansion.

However, Monday-Friday opening times will alter slightly.

Katie Kenwright, co-founder of Signature Living, said: “Alma De Cuba is renowned for its outstanding entertainment.

“From the Samba dancers to fire breathers, not to mention the famous petal drop, Alma has gained a reputation for being the best place to celebrate.

“The introduction of the new floor, that will be situated above the existing restaurant floor, will see weddings, large parties and events taking place, and we’re confident that it will become the most in-demand events space within the city centre.”
