Golf day

A host of celebrities and business leaders came together to put on a fundraising show for The Matt Haycox Foundation in Cheshire.

The event saw celebrities and business people team up to tackle a prestigious Knutsford golf course, on the eve of Europe taking on the USA in this year’s Ryder Cup in Paris.

The Matt Haycox 2018 Golf Day, teed off at the Mere Golf and Spa resort on Thursday, raising money to support children in need of life-saving treatments and operations.

Golf loving stars such as Geordie Shore favourite Gaz Beadle, Love Island runner up Paul Knops, Hollyoaks and Eastenders actor Jamie Lomas, Strictly Come Dancing professional James Jordan and football legends Paul Merson and Neil Ruddock all came down to show their support and enjoy the charity extravaganza.

Charity Founder Matt Haycox said: “Our 2018 Golf Day has been an overwhelming success and a great day for everyone involved.

It is a real honour to be able to invite friends, business acquaintances and our celebrity supporters down to help out the foundation and our raising of vital funds to be able to carry on supporting children in need of operations and their families.

“Today has been a lot of fun, but more importantly helped raise a lot of money to allow us to carry on our work. Roll on 2019 when we’ll go bigger again.”
