One of Europe’s leading manufacturers of engineered wood based and surface finished products has moved into Orbit Development’s Greenway House on Tytherington Business Village.

Pfleiderer UK Limited, part of The Pfleiderer Group, was previously based in Oakfield House on the Tytherington site and has moved to 4,036 sq ft of space, nearly doubling its size, to facilitate expansion plans.

Greenway House will provide office space for the team of 10 who head up the sales and marketing operation, with manufacturing taking place in Germany and Poland.

Pfleiderer’s relocation allows for a new showroom for staff training and customer events, and an in-house bulk store for marketing materials.

Relying on three key values of quality, service and availability, Pfleiderer relocated from London in 2004 with a turnover of €28m and is now on track to hit a turnover of €72m in 2019. It says it is closer to the main customer markets in the North West than in London.

Managing director Jason Taylor said: “The UK market are unable to produce enough materials of our quality to supply demand, so there is always a need for imported quality products.”

He spoke positively of support from the Orbit Development’s team, adding: ““The business park fits our needs perfectly thanks to the facilities; its semi-rural location, an on-site hotel, and well-maintained properties set amongst fantastic landscaping.”

Leasing surveyor for Orbit Developments, Benn Dickinson, said: “We are delighted to welcome Pfleiderer to their new property and we wish the team the very best of luck for the future and their expansion plans.”
