Consultants appointed to bring North Wales holiday park to market

The Falls Resort

Commercial property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has been appointed to market a £2m former holiday park site in North Wales.

The Falls Resort at Allt Y Graig, Dyserth, extends across more than seven acres and incorporates substantial buildings, including a country club, outbuildings and approximately 94 holiday cabins.

The site is well-known in the local area and is expected to attract widespread interest from existing holiday park and leisure operators, as well as residential developers.

Dyserth Falls Limited, which owned The Falls Resort, was forced into liquidation earlier this year and Opus Restructuring & Insolvency and Anderson Brookes were appointed as joint liquidators in April.

Matthew Hardy, associate director at Lambert Smith Hampton, said: “The Falls Resort is an extensive site with significant scope for further development and expansion within the existing footprint.

“It occupies an enviable rural location, close to large towns, stunning coastlines and popular tourist attractions.

“We are confident it will appeal to a range of potential buyers, either to continue its existing use or with a change of use, and we have already received lots of enquiries from interested parties.”

Stephen Berry, a director at Opus Restructuring & Insolvency, said: “While The Falls Resort has clearly experienced challenges in the recent past, we are hopeful of finding a buyer or investor who has the resources to take the site forward.

“We have considerable experience of turning around businesses such as this and leaving them with a much more prosperous future. As joint liquidators, we are speaking to several interested parties who are interested in breathing new life into the resort.”
