Planning application submitted for former nurseries site

The proposed Panflora site

Acting on behalf of Edgefold Homes, Manchester-based P4 Planning has submitted a full planning application for an attractive residential development comprising nine new homes on the former Panflora Nurseries site in Dunham Massey, Cheshire.

The plans for the 0.44ha site have been carefully designed by architects Bowker Sadler, ensuring the new dwellings, which replace existing workshop and storage structures, will make a positive contribution to this rural area.

Charlotte Fowler, associate at P4 Planning, said: “The previously developed site has been vacant for over two years, providing no benefit to the surrounding area.

“Through a well-considered design drawing on the local vernacular, these plans will ensure this brownfield land is transformed into a high-quality residential development which will complement its surroundings, all in accordance with planning policy.”

Ken Whitaker, director from Edgefold Homes, said: “With this carefully designed scheme we are proposing to re-purpose a redundant brownfield site and help meet the pressing need for family homes in Trafford.

“If granted consent, the proposal will enhance the local environment and further Edgefold Homes’ ambition to create superb new homes with interesting designs in great locations.”

The architect on the scheme is Bowker Sadler Architecture. Transport consultant, SCP. Ecologist, Rachel Hacking Ecology. Landscape architect, TPM Landscape. Drainage, Atkinson Peck. Arboriculturist, Amenity Tree Care. Project manager, Chadkirk Consulting.
