Landmark commercial office complex appoints agent

Manchester International Office Centre

Edwards & Co has been appointed to market Manchester International Office Centre, MIOC.

Working alongside the incumbent Colliers, Edwards & Co will be jointly responsible for letting any remaining suites from the 100,000 sq ft of high-quality office accommodation.

This landmark building offers units from 450 to 8,000 sq ft and has a unique location neighbouring the airport with access from the airport relief road, A555.

Already home to many international and local tenants, including Franke and Belden, it has exceptional open space and an abundance of parking.

Les Lang, director at Till Asset Management, said: “Edwards & Co impressed us with its enthusiasm for MIOC, they immediately recognised the sizeable benefits of this office space and will, alongside Colliers, market the building to a range of tenants, not just those interested in the close proximity to the airport.

“Our location makes us unique, not just the distinguishable design of the building and the amenities on offer.”

Andrew Timms, director at Edwards & Co, said: “Not only is this an iconic building in architecture and stance, but it offers something several ultra-modern buildings do not, natural light and bags of space.

“Businesses looking for an office that provides all the modern amenities – an on-site gym, café, breakout areas, cycle suite and more – can also have green, outside space for staff to enjoy, plenty of parking and huge, open plan communal areas that are truly unique.”

He added: “We’re already talking to businesses that require small satellite offices, freight companies and regional entrepreneurs who don’t want to make the commute all the way into Manchester or Liverpool anymore.

“In a current ‘COVID-secure’ marketplace, priorities are changing, and MIOC offers an interesting alternative.”

MIOC is situated at a prominent position at the junction of Style Road on the A555 with connections to Manchester Airport, the M56, Metrolink and Heald Green train station.

The building was designed by Cruickshank and Seaward in 1953 but has undergone a substantial refurbishment programme over recent years – further improvements are being made in the next few months.
