Accountancy giant to close Liverpool office

Accountancy giant Deloitte is set to close its Liverpool office over coming months, according to reports.

The Financial Times says that the firm’s city base, situated in Horton House, Exchange Flags, will be one of four to close, along with offices in Gatwick, Nottingham and Southampton.

It is believed staff will be offered full-time remote working.

Deloitte said in a statement that all employees “will continue to be employed by Deloitte and any proposed change is to our ‘bricks and mortar’, not our presence in these regions”.

Deloitte’s Liverpool office is headed up by senior partner Sean Beech.

The office is part of the firm’s North West operations which include 700 staff across its Liverpool and Manchester offices.
