Recruitment drive for company behind Hoover and Candy brands

Up to 40 new roles are being recruited at a Greater Manchester call centre.

Haier Europe is the company behind global appliance brands such as Candy, Hoover and Haier.

It is significantly expanding its Bolton-based customer contact centre, on Breightmet Industrial Estate, which currently employs 103 people.

The expansion will involve onboarding around 40 more staff in permanent customer service advisor roles.

Matthew Given, group director, HR for Haier Europe, said: “Haier Europe’s vision is to become the first choice for consumers for smart home appliances and our Bolton contact centre is key, with its focus on excelling in the customer experience.

“It goes from strength to strength and we now have many more immediate permanent exciting roles available.

“Our Bolton contact centre offers a great opportunity for both experienced customer service advisors and those looking to embark on a customer service career, to work with three of the biggest brands in home appliances to deliver customer satisfaction.”

Haier Europe opened a brand activation centre on Birchwood Park, Warrington, a year ago, which created 30 jobs.

The facility allow the firm to showcase its UK brands. The launch followed a similar unveiling by Haier at its European headquarters in Lombardy, northern Italy.
