Car finance fintech to create 150 jobs in latest recruitment drive

Up to 150 jobs are being created by Manchester-based car finance fintech Zuto, following strong revenue growth.

It has announced plans to hire new team members across its Manchester and Macclesfield offices, as well as a number of remote-first positions.

The recruitment drive follows a period of rapid expansion for the company.

It says it is currently achieving more than 50% revenue growth year on year.

Zuto has also recently been awarded B Corp accreditation.

In the first four months of 2022, Zuto has already hired 105 new starters in company-wide roles including within its management team, where 43% identify as women.

This figure is more than double the average number of female executives at other fintech firms (19%) and four times the number across the automotive industry (10%).

Zuto chief executive, James Wilkinson, said: “The recruitment drive will strengthen all departments of the company, including sales, contact centre and product development.

“In our technology division alone we have recently welcomed an intake of graduate developers and a machine learning engineer. We are now on the lookout for more like-minded individuals and people looking to make a real difference.”

In August last year Zuto announced it was seeking 100 staff due to the soaring used car market.

Mr Wilkinson added: “Becoming a B Corp is the single proudest thing that has happened at Zuto and it comes at an exciting time for us as a business, as we go through a period of exponential growth.”

The process of becoming B Corp certified is conducted via the B Impact assessment – which involves a series of stringent assessments on every aspect of a business’s social and environmental performance – from renewable energy sources to diversity and inclusion (D&I).
