Love Energy Savings snaps up online competitor

Love Energy Savings in Bolton

Business utilities marketplace, Love Energy Savings, has acquired a competitor which fell into administration earlier in the year.

Energy Helpline, which provides a free energy switch service to help consumers find the best gas and electricity deal, entered into administration in April following soaring energy prices, which prompted suppliers to withdraw their cheapest tariffs resulting in the collapse of 31 energy companies since the start of 2022.

The addition of Energy Helpline brand to Bolton-based Love Energy Savings portfolio is expected to bring a new wave of customers to the business which has diversified its product offering to now include water, telecoms and waste for business customers.

Phil Windas, Chief Marketing Officer at Love Energy Savings, said: “This deal is a perfect fit for us and Energy Helpline will take a good position in our portfolio of digital brands.

“Our proprietary technology brilliantly serves our business customers, offering full online price transparency and 24/7/365 self-service switching.

“Having the Energy Helpline brand onboard now means we will be able to serve tens of thousands of additional customers, who already trust the name from its two decades of offering switching services, via an upgrade with our market-leading platform.”

He added: “We have spent years developing industry-leading technology that tailors quotes for our customers in 800 milliseconds and  offers full online price transparency, allowing us to be a modernising and transformational force in the business utilities marketplace.”
